Hi – I’m Brian. Leader, coach, creator.
Hey there! I’m Brian Tomlinson. I’m a creator, coach and content leader. After rebuilding my own career during a major reset, I discovered something powerful: the most innovative thing you can do is innovate yourself. Today, I teach a simple system for clarity, confidence, and growth in fast-changing times.
Who am I? Flat white lover, father, learner
So if you’re here I figure I should let you know who I am. Let’s go.
So I grew up on the small, beautiful island of Antigua. It was great. The beaches were amazing and I couldn’t think of a nicer place to grow up. At some point I got a football (soccer) scholarship and I was off to the US of A. I was mostly an East Coast fella. Calling Cleveland, Erie, Tampa and Atlanta home over the years.
Around 13 years ago I moved to Germany for a 6-month project. I forgot to leave. Now I’m German.
More importantly, I’m a father of two great kids, a coffee lover, and someone who you can call a life-long learner. I’m always exploring new ways to grow—whether it’s through reading Stoic philosophy or trying new challenges like running (gosh I used to hate running.) But doing hard things is awesome. So I ran my first marathon this year (2025.)
Growth isn’t about being perfect. It’s about showing up every day and taking small, steady steps forward.

What gets me out of bed (besides my kids)
In my day job, I lead an amazing team as the Head of Content at Staffbase. We help companies and leaders use communication to create real change. When people connect and communicate well, great things happen.
At night, I switch on my other persona.
(I’m not saying I’m Batman, but I’m just saying, no one’s seen me and Batman in the same place at the same time.)
I love seeing people make progress. It’s the lifeblood of humanity. We are meant for so much. Yet we struggle to really fulfill who we are.
This is my deeper passion. Helping people grow.
Because I know what it feels like to be successful on paper yet feel stuck inside — wanting more, but not sure what’s missing.
I’m talking from experience.
You probably know what I mean. That tingling feeling that you want more and you can be more. But something’s just not clicking. And you’re not the type of person to just give up and be average.
So I started a small project (just me!) called, Personal Innovation. A simple system to help high performers find clarity, build confidence, and create the impact they know they’re capable of.
Personal Innovation: Small Changes, Big Results
So what exactly is Personal Innovation? Think of it as personal development 2.0.
It’s not about chasing trends or striving for perfection. It’s about adapting faster, staying grounded in timeless principles, and making consistent progress — even in times of change.
Personal Innovation is becoming the person you know deep down you can be. One small shift at a time. One confident decision at a time.
And over time, those small changes add up to extraordinary results.
Whether it’s improving habits, making better decisions, or finding balance, Personal Innovation gives you a way forward.
