Marketing Advisory
You’re building something real. Your marketing should be, too.
You’ve got the product. The vision. Maybe even early traction. But the marketing side? It’s a patchwork of guesses, borrowed templates, and “we’ll figure it out later.” I help founders and growing companies build the marketing foundation that actually works.
The Problem
This sound familiar?
You know you need marketing. You don’t know where to start.
You’ve got a product people love. But when someone asks “what do you do?” — you give a different answer every time. Your website says one thing. Your pitch says another. Your LinkedIn says something else entirely.
You’ve tried the usual moves. Nothing sticks.
You hired a freelancer. Ran some ads. Maybe posted on LinkedIn for three weeks. None of it connected because there was no strategy underneath it. Tactics without a foundation is just noise with a budget.
You’re the founder, the marketer, and the sales team.
You don’t have a VP of Marketing. You might not even have a first marketing hire. But every day you delay getting this right, your competitors are building the trust and visibility you’re leaving on the table.
The shift
Marketing isn’t a department. It’s a decision.
Here’s the thing — most founders treat marketing like a task list. Post something on social. Build a website. Run ads when revenue dips.
That’s not marketing. That’s reacting.
Marketing is a decision about how the world sees you. Who you are. What you stand for. Why someone should choose you over every other option. Get that right, and every tactic you deploy actually means something.
Get it wrong, and you’re just adding noise.
I help you get it right — from the ground up.
What we build together
Four ways I can help
Every engagement is different. Some founders need a full marketing buildout. Others need to sharpen their messaging and get their story straight. Here’s where I typically come in.
The Clarity Layer
Messaging & Brand Foundation
Your messaging is the foundation everything else sits on. I help you define who you are, who you’re for, and why they should care — in language that actually sounds like you. Positioning, value propositions, taglines, brand voice. The stuff that makes your website, pitch deck, and every conversation coherent.
The Launch Layer
Go-to-Market Strategy
If you’re launching something new — a product, a repositioning, a market entry — I help you build the GTM plan. Audience definition, channel selection, messaging hierarchy, launch sequence. The strategic architecture that makes a launch land, not just happen.
The Visibility Layer
Content System Design
Once your messaging is clear, I design a content system that gets it in front of the right people. Content pillars, channel strategy, editorial cadence, distribution plan. Not a content calendar — a system that compounds over time.
The Partner Layer
Ongoing Advisory
Some clients don’t need a project. They need a strategic partner on speed dial. Monthly advisory where I help you navigate the decisions that come up when you’re building — what to prioritize, where to invest, when to hire, and how to make it all coherent.
Not sure which of these you need? That’s exactly what the discovery call is for.
How it works. Simple not complicated.
1
Discovery Call
We spend 30 minutes figuring out where you are, what’s not working, and what you’re trying to build. No pitch. No pressure. Just clarity on whether I can help.
2
Scope & Proposal
I put together a clear scope — what we’ll work on, what you’ll walk away with, and what it costs. No mystery. No enterprise pricing theater.
3
Build Together
We work together — weekly calls, async reviews, whatever cadence makes sense. I bring the strategy and the frameworks. You bring the context and the decisions. You walk away owning everything we build.
I’ve done this before. At scale.
I’m not a strategist who reads about marketing. I’ve spent twenty years building it — from the ground up, across three continents, at companies from early-stage to enterprise.

I was employee number two in an internal digital unit — tasked with building a digital marketing function from nothing. I’ve founded marketing teams, built a digital marketing center of excellence, and designed the systems that turned a blog-focused content team into what colleagues called “a media organization.”
That’s what I do. I walk into ambiguity — where the playbook doesn’t exist yet — and build the marketing infrastructure that makes everything else possible.
Now I’m building my own business using the same frameworks, tools, and AI-powered workflows I bring to every client engagement. I’m a practitioner, not a professor.
FIT CHECK
This might be for you if…
For you
- You’re a founder or small business owner building something that deserves to be seen
- You have a product or service, but your marketing is duct tape and good intentions
- You need strategic direction, not just a freelancer who takes orders
- You’re ready to invest in getting the foundation right
- You want to understand your marketing, not just outsource it
Also worth knowing
- Need a fractional marketing lead? We can discuss what level of embedded involvement makes sense — from strategic advisory to hands-on weekly partnership
- Already working with an agency? I can serve as the strategic layer between you and your agency — making sure the work ladders up to a real plan
- Looking for someone to “just run some ads”? Let’s start with messaging first — ads without a foundation is money with a blindfold
QUESTIONS
Frequently Asked
What does an engagement typically look like?
It depends on what you need. A messaging and brand foundation project might be 4–6 weeks. A full marketing buildout could be 2–3 months. Ongoing advisory is month-to-month. We scope it together on the discovery call.
What does it cost?
Every engagement is scoped based on what we’re tackling. After the discovery call, I’ll put together a clear proposal with a clear number. No mystery. No surprises.
Do you do the actual content creation?
It depends on the engagement. If you have a team, I’ll design the system and coach them to execute. If you don’t have a team yet, I can help with foundational work like messaging, positioning copy, and website language — the things that need to be right before anyone starts creating content. For ongoing production, I can recommend people or help you scope your first hire.
I already have a marketing person. Can you work with them?
Absolutely. Some of my best work is giving a first marketing hire the strategic framework and direction they need to succeed. I’m their strategic partner, not their replacement.
How is this different from the Trust Engine?
The Trust Engine is a specific system designed for B2B marketing teams that need a content-to-trust engine. Marketing Advisory is broader — it covers the full marketing picture. Some advisory clients end up building a Trust Engine as part of the engagement. Others need something different entirely.
